Senior Energy Modeler/Building Performance Analyst

As a Senior Energy Modeler/Building Performance Analyst, you will play a key role in our Advanced Performance Analysis team, working on exciting projects that drive positive change.
About the Role
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from high-performance building design to energy retrofits and existing building energy audits. You will be responsible for developing performance simulations, maintaining technical excellence, and producing high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop performance simulations to guide the design of high-performance buildings, deep energy retrofits, and existing building energy audits.
- Maintain the highest standards of technical excellence in the delivery of simulation services.
- Produce enticing graphical representations of complex simulation data to enhance client-facing deliverables.
- Prepare energy modeling reports to fulfill the requirements of building code, incentive programs, and third-party certifications.
- Research trends and technologies associated with the design and operation of high-performance buildings.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in building performance analysis, with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (NECB), ASHRAE 90.1, LEED, and the Zero Carbon Building Standard.
- Understanding of the principles of building science and HVAC systems, as well as best practice approaches to their simulation.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, architecture, or building technology.
