Dedicated Primary Care Physician for a Growing Medical Staff

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Dedicated Care Physician to join our expanding medical staff of over 80 physicians. This part-time position will grow into a full-time commitment and involves working at least 3 days a week in one of our clinics.
Responsibilities
- Dedicate time to a small number of patients, focusing on in-depth compassionate and preventative primary care.
- Build strong relationships with patients, taking the time to understand all aspects of their health and wellness journey.
- Utilize same-day testing results to provide clinical recommendations and health guidance.
- Engage with our extensive team through daily lunches, continuing medical education, and product development initiatives.
Requirements
- A strong service-minded approach to providing excellent comprehensive care.
- An empathetic and collaborative working style to engage diverse stakeholders.
- A commitment to working at Medcan for at least two (2-3) days per week and one consistent Saturday per month.
- Ability to begin taking patients at a manageable pace after three months of onboarding and orientation.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- An active OHIP billing number.
- CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation or FRCPC designation.
- Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset.
