**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer/Security Architect for our Ottawa office, working 3 days a week on-site. As a hybrid position, you will balance security and usability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet real-world use cases.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Serving as a technical security architecture and engineering resource for product development and initiatives in Data Protection & Identity and Access Management.
  • Working closely with security champions and product teams to facilitate risk-based decision-making that balances security, performance, and compliance.
  • Educating the engineering organization on improving security maturity, awareness, and judgment throughout all phases of product development.
  • Contributing to the development of a high-quality product security program addressing top priorities, including research and implementation of tooling and process improvements.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent field; or relevant work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience solving challenging security problems across multiple domains, including threat modeling/risk assessment, applied cryptography, code review, and tool development/deployment.
  • Experience building tools/products in at least one high-level programming language and understanding how to read/break code in languages like C/C++, Java, or Go.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships across disciplines.

**Salary and Benefits**

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $140,000-$180,000 per year, based on experience and location.
