Union Convention Manager

The Union Convention Manager will oversee the planning and execution of various conferences and events for the BC General Employees' Union (BCGEU). This is a key position that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate travel arrangements, negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and coordinate all aspects of BCGEU conferences / events – small to medium size conferences / events;
  • Monitor and track union travel activity;
  • Respond to and follow up with members with regard to discrepancies in expense claims and union policies and procedures;

You will also work closely with outside organizations and facilities to ensure the appropriate accessibility and safety standards are in place.
