Job Title: Group Home Worker

L'Arche Halifax is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team. As a Group Home Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in a group home setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement behavior management programs to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
