Content Expert/Curriculum Developer for PSYC 2041: Introduction to Brain and Behaviour

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a qualified Content Expert/Curriculum Developer to work on a major revision of PSYC 2041: Introduction to Brain and Behaviour. The successful candidate will have a PhD in psychology or behavioural neuroscience and demonstrate current and ongoing engagement in the course subject matter.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a detailed framework for the course, including learning outcomes, learning activities, and assessments.
- Revise and/or develop content to ensure relevance and appropriateness for an online continuous entry course.
- Create multimedia or other active learning activities to ensure student engagement.
- Choose effective and appropriate resources, prioritizing low-cost and accessible options.
- Work collaboratively with the course development team and Instructional Designer.
- PhD in psychology or behavioural neuroscience.
- Demonstration of current and ongoing engagement in the course subject matter.
- Recent and substantial experience in biological psychology and/or behavioural neuroscience.
- Demonstrated ability to write in a clear and consistent style.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner.
- Experience or training in facilitating online instruction is an asset.
