Join us at our client site in Peace River, AB, starting September 2024 This permanent role operates on a Monday to Thursday schedule, and candidates must possess valid Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, WHMIS & Fall Protection safety tickets. 

What would you be doing?

Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Inspect and examine equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions. Use hand and power tools to perform repairs, test repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensure that the work meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations. Relocate/operate heavy equipment to move it within the shop area. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Clean, lubricate and perform other preventative maintenance work. Equipment and facility continuous improvements. Interface with customers, products, and sales support.  Provide support concerning on-site safety requirements. Drafting technical reports and completing paperwork as required. Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.

Journeyperson Heave Duty Technician ticket; Automotive Service Technician. Specialization in fuel pumps and injectors, track equipment, engine overhaul, hydraulic controls, power shift transmissions, and allied equipment. Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: WHMIS, Fall Protection You thrive on collaboration and in a communal environment. Ability to interpret technical manuals. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
