Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Inpatient team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to complex patient populations, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized patient care, utilizing the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with Registered Practical Nurses to provide consultative services and support patient care.
  • Identify and respond to abnormal or unexpected patient responses, taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  • Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Develop and maintain strong interprofessional relationships with healthcare teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS).
  • Recent experience in Medical Nursing, with a focus on complex patient populations.
  • Ability to use the Nursing Process and basic knowledge to develop individualized care plans.
  • Strong communication and interprofessional skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification or recent continuing education in Medical Nursing.
