Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at Island Health. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and project management skills to oversee the development, construction, and commissioning of major capital assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee planning, procurement, and partnership arrangements for large-scale capital projects
  • Develop and implement financing strategies and construction plans
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Island Health's strategic plan and Ministry mandates
  • Manage a portfolio of over $880M in assets
  • Supervise planning and procurement processes, and establish guiding principles for project delivery
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 15 years of recent experience in senior management/leadership roles in a large complex healthcare organization
  • 5 years of recent experience as a Chief Project Officer responsible for managing large, complex capital projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other related accounting procedures/principles
  • Ability to lead, plan, direct, and implement processes, and identify, manage, and mitigate risk
