Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Medicine Specialist to join our team at Bridge Pet Hospital.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing diseases, treating sick or injured animals, and providing a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations or laboratory tests
  • Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery
  • Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advise clients on animal care, including feeding, housing, breeding, hygiene, and general care
  • Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
  • Provide obstetrics, dentistry, and other specialized veterinary services
  • Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers
Requirements:
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced environment withstanding long periods of standing and bending.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including paid time off and professional liability insurance.
