Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Specialist to join our team at Bridge Pet Hospital.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care to our patients, working closely with our team of animal health professionals to ensure the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and Treat Medical Conditions: Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
  • Provide Preventative Care: Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases, and advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
  • Perform Routine Examinations: Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certification: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required. Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are also necessary.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience as a veterinarian is an asset, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off and professional liability insurance, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
