About This Opportunity:

The Department of Paediatric Medicine at Sinai Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a Staff Neonatologist, you will be part of a tradition of excellence in Neonatal clinical care, education, and research.

About Our Department:

We provide primary and tertiary care at regional and provincial levels for newborn infants with specialized services for the resuscitation of infants with known cardiac disease and other congenital abnormalities. Our department is closely allied to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and forms part of a Fellowship Training Program in Neonatology, which is fully accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to newborn infants with complex medical conditions
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team in the care of high-risk newborns
  • Contribute to education and research in Neonatal Medicine
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance clinical care and patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • MD, MBBS, or equivalent degree
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Minimum of two years of subspecialty training in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine
  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Eligibility for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in community paediatrics and outreach programs
