Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Richmond. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, ensuring that our customers' vehicles are returned to them in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and Repair Services: Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify and repair complex automotive issues, including engine repair, electrical and electronic system diagnosis, and brake system repair.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to ensure our customers' vehicles are running at peak performance.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the service they receive.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including problem identification and repair methods, to ensure that our customers' vehicles are properly documented.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience in automotive repair is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of automotive systems, including engine repair, electrical and electronic system diagnosis, and brake system repair.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
