**Warehouse Supervisor Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Richelieu Hardware Ltd. in Sudbury, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff to ensure daily shipping, receiving, returns, restocking, and putaway targets are met. They will also be responsible for supervising the timely release of orders, suggesting improvements, and dealing with PO discrepancies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising staff to ensure working to daily targets
  • Supervising timely release of orders and suggesting improvements
  • Dealing with PO discrepancies and suggesting improvements
  • Providing job training where needed, including new employees
  • Arranging and maintaining training of all warehouse staff, including equipment and health and safety procedures
  • Providing performance feedback to staff and management
  • Dealing with staff performance issues and assisting in hiring new employees
  • Conducting annual performance reviews of direct reports
  • Keeping the warehouse manager informed of operational needs
  • Being a key holder for lock-up and alarm response
  • Reviewing shipping, receiving, returns, restocking, and putaway errors with staff to reduce the amount occurring
  • Analyzing returns and suggesting improvements to reduce the amount
  • Analyzing damage claims and suggesting improvements to reduce the amount
  • Analyzing inventory adjustments and suggesting improvements in procedures to reduce
  • Ensuring customers are addressed quickly at the pick-up counter and doors 1 and 17
  • Ensuring customers are addressed quickly and professionally
  • Responsible for improving warehouse operations through root cause analysis
  • Conducting data analysis to find root causes using computer software and branch reports
  • Ensuring that inventory is updated and accurate in the system, which will involve some physical investigation along with statistical analysis

**Requirements:**

  • Multilingualism is an asset
  • College degree is an asset
  • Experience in warehouse operations in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of operation and warehouse management of distribution processes
  • Knowledge of Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.), of AS-400, of a Warehouse Management System, and of Radio Frequency
  • Forklift and Reach Truck experience preferred
  • Experience with AS400 system (an asset)
  • Dedicated and full of energy
