Academic Cardiologist

The Department of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full-time academic interventional cardiologist. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher (CT), Clinician Educator (CE), Clinician Investigator (CI) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI) and must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.
Responsibilities:- Participate in the 24/7 Primary Angioplasty/Code STEMI service
- Conduct clinical research and quality improvement programs
- Lead or collaborate in educational programs in Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto
- Support outpatient demands and inpatient consultations
- Hold an MD degree and be eligible for certification in Cardiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Proven experience and expertise in intra-vascular imaging and/or intra-coronary physiology
- Graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization
- Proven academic record of excellence in education or quality improvement
