About the role

As the Delivery Lead for the Core Banking Platform, you will oversee the successful delivery of Vancity's core banking solutions. This involves managing end-to-end project lifecycles, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of new features, enhancements, and system integrations meets business objectives.

Closely collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, manage resources, mitigate risks, and execute initiatives is crucial. Driving continuous improvements, supporting change management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in the core banking domain are essential responsibilities.

This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid working arrangements. It requires occasional in-office presence at the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.

A typical day involves:

  • Managing project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Managing project scope, resources, and risks effectively.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to define project goals, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
  • Providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Fostering a high-performance culture to ensure team success.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with project delivery.

You have:

  • 8+ years of experience in core banking projects and delivery.
  • Experience in financial institutions or banking is an asset, including knowledge of banking regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of agile and waterfall delivery models.
  • Expertise in leading complex IT projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems, software development processes, and system integrations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage expectations, align priorities, and ensure clear updates to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to prevent project delays or failures.
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills to address technical and operational challenges.
  • Ability to navigate changing priorities and project scopes, managing uncertainty in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and ensuring timely delivery of external services or products.

The salary range for this role is $81,200 to $122,000 annually, varying based on relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity.
