he Senior Project Manager will be responsible for collaborating across two in-flight projects: Oracle Cloud for Payroll and Helm Connect for Crewing Management, to establish and manage to a coordinated project plan for interdependent timelines and deliverables.

Duties and Accountabilities


• Develop a distinct project plan and work breakdown structure for interdependent deliverables and tasks across the Oracle Cloud and Helm Connect projects


• Assign tasks and follow up to ensure quality and timely completion of deliverables


• Facilitate project update, planning, requirements, design and decision-making meetings, create RAID items, deliverables trackers, and other related items to the completion and delivery of project activities and artifacts


• Develop test plans, oversee test case development and coordinate across the execution of testing for both projects


• Tackle problems head-on; provide project team with leadership and facilitation to breakdown complex ideas into solvable and actionable work packages


• Drive for role clarity across the project teams and out to decision-makers ensuring each is clear on his/her responsibilities and time-bound deliverables


• Monitor project progress and performance to ensure alignment with objectives, expectations, and commitments; contribute to status reporting for general project communication and/or steering committee material


• Identify change management impacts and collaborate with project OCM teams to develop change management, training and hypercare plans


• Collaborate with both project teams and business leadership to manage project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies

Qualification Requirements


• University degree in a business or relatable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Minimum 10 years of related work experience with 5 years direct experience managing large organizational projects. Extensive practical experience with core processes including Maritime Operations, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM) and Business Intelligence (BI)


• Experience in a variety of project management and organizational change management methodologies


• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is an asset

• Strong leadership and relationship building skills to lead teams in distributed environments involved in delivering complex changes


• Strong executive presence and ability to engage with senior partners; collaborates effectively to meet common goals and objectives


• Meticulously organized and able to prioritize with business leads and defend prioritization


• Critical is an ability to work at a detailed level in a work breakdown structure


• Consistent track record in successful cross-functional program and/or transformational management


• Able to think strategically and make quick decisions to steer transformation successfully


• Strong communication skills and business acumen to ensure partner management (up/down/lateral communications)


• Strong coaching acumen with proven experience in developing others


• Ability to persuade, influence, motivate and resolve conflicts.


• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines. Some travel may be required.
