Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Alstom is a leading company in the mobility sector, and we are looking for a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team in Alstom Americas.

The successful candidate will lead a team of financial analysts and be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and presenting key performance indicators, as well as coordinating the consolidation of forecast financial information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating overall planning processes for the region, including three-year plans and periodic forecast updates;
  • Analyzing regional results and trends in relation to business evolution;
  • Communicating results effectively to various business partners;
  • Challenging and providing insights on risks and opportunities, as well as variance analysis;
  • Controlling the indirect cost structure and headcount of the region to maximize performance;
  • Developing action plans to optimize performance and implementing corrective actions;
  • Preparing and reviewing financial presentations, reports, and analysis for senior management and HQ;
  • Providing financial support to the team of financial analysts and the region finance team, as well as guidance to drive performance;
  • Providing necessary analysis and assistance to the central management team of the regions and HQ as requested.

Qualifications include:

  • CPA designation in accounting (or related bachelor's degree in finances or business);
  • 8-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or relevant experience;
  • Good understanding of cost classification and reporting;
  • Ability to propose change and innovation, lead initiatives;
  • Demonstrate teamwork, integrity, and agility;
  • Reliable and well-organized;
  • Resilience, ability to work under pressure, and exposure to N+1, N+2;
  • Problem-solving-oriented attitude;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in French and English to communicate with all organizational levels;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
