We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Full-Time employee, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care, including progress notes and medication administration.
Requirements
- Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards for the position.
- Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation.
- Ability to communicate positively with other staff, residents/patients, and families.
- Ability to provide care in accordance with application legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, and ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
