Job Summary:The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to patients in their homes, focusing on nursing care and comfort. Responsibilities:- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment
- Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including taking vital signs and maintaining inventory of supplies
- Transport patients between care facilities and provide wheelchair or stretcher assistance as needed
- Respond to call signals to determine patients' needs and provide timely support
This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Requirements:- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Experience an asset, but not required
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and maintain a high level of energy and focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
