Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Implement and monitor our safety program to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction and mentorship to FMI staff in the field, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Site Management: Supervise and develop site team members, lead project foreman meetings, and motivate site personnel and subcontractors to perform at their best.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain a high quality of workmanship and accountability of subcontractors.
  • Project Management: Review the budget and estimate with the Project Manager to understand the project, plan to avoid costly issues and project delays, and manage and track budget and cost.
  • Documentation: Review documents and drawings accuracy, review and enforce subcontractor's contracts, and identify discrepancies in scopes of work.
  • Training and Development: Identify the training needs of field staff, assist with training where qualified, and support apprenticeship programs as required.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. A degree in a related field and relevant experience are required.
