TCWGlobal is seeking a skilled Data Localization Specialist to join our team.

The salary for this position is estimated to be in the range of $34-$38 CAD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as NLP methodologies and linked data to improve search efficiency and accuracy.

As a Data Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the company's search vocabulary, while promoting workflows and technologies to increase efficiency and provide industry-leading search for global customers.

You will work closely with the Global Vocabulary Manager, the Global Search Vocabulary Analyst, Search Editors, and the Data Science team to ensure consistency across all languages and meet customer needs and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate search for assets on company image websites by ensuring the controlled vocabulary meets global customers' needs.
  • Manage the translation of the controlled vocabulary in all supported languages, including selection, shipment to third parties, and quality assurance.
  • Utilize workflows and technologies such as NLP methodologies, knowledge graph connections, and SQL queries to guarantee accuracy and quality of vocabulary work.
  • Develop and optimize new approaches and processes for Search Vocabulary localization to achieve high efficiency while retaining established industry leading standards.
  • Create documentation on projects and POC proposals to combine the use of new technologies for search vocabulary localization and utilization.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify customer trends and generate search engine and/or vocabulary ideas for implementation.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure vocabulary work and guideline documentation support search and site needs across languages.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a linguist applying NLP methodologies in academic or IT industry positions.
