Job Title: Construction Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at PS General Contracting. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons and performing various tasks related to construction projects.

Job Summary:

The Construction Helper will work under the supervision of experienced tradespersons and will be responsible for tasks such as loading and unloading construction materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding and forms, mixing and pouring concrete, and assisting with equipment operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, forms, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist skilled tradespersons with various tasks
  • Operate equipment such as concrete vibrators, reciprocating saws, and drills
  • Perform routine maintenance work and clean up construction sites
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in dusty environments
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

The Construction Helper will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites, and will be required to work outdoors, at heights, and in dusty environments.
