Job Summary:

Magna International Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead our supplier performance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for executing best practices and measuring performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based upon the division's Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the supply chain management team in executing best practices and measuring performance through KPIs.
  • Direct and coordinate supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs.
  • Ensure Suppliers conduct their activities according to the Magna Global Supply Chain Requirements.
  • Support all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary direct materials and services.
  • Work with production, purchasing, quality, and logistics departments to ensure 100% on time delivery and product quality.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement, VA/VE, and innovation in the supply chain in alignment with business strategy.
  • Oversee and optimize inventory within the supply chain to reduce carrying costs.
  • Proactively monitor and manage risks in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Purchasing departments to minimize Total Delivered Cost.
  • Lead team to ensure compliance to Magna's world class Manufacturing and Quality Standards.
  • Maintain ownership of APQP / Launch management to achieve flawless launch for all supplier related activities.
  • Monitor and develop suppliers for cost, quality, delivery to meet the Companies' requirements.
  • Ensure that supplier related audits and assessments are current.
  • Ensure suppliers are set up to comply with SAP, Supply web, eRFX & QPF.
  • Ensure supplier annual validations are uploaded at QPF on time.
  • Follow up on supplier complaints and ensure QPF is updated with on time responses.
  • Visit suppliers to perform assessments, run at rate and verifications of corrective actions.
  • Maintain database of all material suppliers' Quality Management Systems certifications.
  • Lead activities for correcting the performance of problem suppliers based on QPF rating and Delivery performance.
  • Provide management reports as necessary.
  • Comply and participate in monthly Health & Safety Quiz.
  • Comply and participate with suggestions and Continuous Improvement program.
  • Actively and positively support the continued practice of Common Values behaviors.
  • Initiate and embrace company change.
  • Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
