About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Migration Software Developer to join our team at Rubicon Path. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in migrating our legacy applications to the cloud, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate five Microsoft Dynamics high-sensitive business-critical applications from on-premise Dynamics version 8.2 to Azure Cloud with Dynamics version 9.2.
  • Perform data migration required for the above-described application migration.
  • Configure and secure the Azure hosting environment to support high-sensitive business-critical applications.
  • Work with the architecture team to develop architectural artifacts for OPS Gating.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security to complete threat risk assessments.
  • Provide assistance with load testing, penetration testing, and AODA compliance testing.
Deliverables:
  • Assess existing applications and identify tasks and effort required to migrate each application.
  • Create technical specifications for systems development.
  • Configure and secure new cloud environments in alignment with OPS cloud policy and standards.
  • Define, document, test, and implement data migration strategies and scripts required to migrate applications to the cloud.
  • Design, implement, and work with the project team to complete all relevant and required documentation in alignment with OPS standards.
  • Identify deprecated code and functionality and provide out-of-the-box solutions that produce a like-for-like replacement of the functionality in the upgraded version of the application.
  • Develop detailed programming specifications, user interface designs, prototypes, write or generate code, compile data-driven programs, conduct unit tests, and debug code to troubleshoot incidents and defects.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and document solutions for relevant projects.
  • Work with clients to design effective application changes to meet business needs and support a like-for-like migration using the best of new technologies.
  • Participate in coding and development of application components, including user interfaces, data services, data synchronization, and deployment services.
  • Participate in project design and application JAD sessions/walkthroughs.
  • Develop software architecture documentation for the project.
  • Produce use cases, class diagrams, component diagrams, state diagrams, etc.
  • Develop solutions to replace deprecated components focusing on like-for-like and out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Develop documentation for testing, implementation, defect tracking according to OPS standards.
  • Participate in, document, and configure output from application design sessions.
  • Participate in unit/system/integration testing.
  • Develop user authentication and access components according to predefined business rules in existing applications.
  • Design and develop user and system interfaces.
  • Prepare install packages and install books as required.
  • Provide input and complete documentation for the application deployment plan for the production environment.
  • Complete all required documentation and system artifacts, including updating technical documentation, and provide input for User Guide & Training Guide.
  • Estimate assigned tasks and percent complete.
  • The consultant will provide a detailed list of all work/artifacts completed on the project.
  • Attend meetings related to the resolution of any requests or support incidents as required.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to internal staff - the consultant will transfer over all information, research, code, documents, etc. to the client.
  • Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.
  • Notify the Cluster/Ministry project Manager in writing of any issues or other material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables, as soon as he/she becomes aware of them.
  • Submit deliverables for the Cluster/Ministry approval as they are completed.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry security procedures and practices.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry architecture/technology standards and best practices.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government I&IT Directive, Operational Policy on the I&IT Project Gateway Process, and other applicable Guidelines, Standards, and Procedures.
  • Participate in Knowledge Transfer.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Migration Software Developer who has a strong background in Microsoft Dynamics, with a focus on cloud migration and Azure cloud configuration. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience developing applications using Microsoft Dynamics, with experience migrating applications and data from on-premise Dynamics to the cloud, and configuring and securing Azure cloud environments to meet OPS security and access policy standards.
