Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill clients with unpredictable outcomes who are attached to life-support equipment, or clients in post-anaesthetic recovery. You will work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver effective care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.

• Demonstrate expertise and leadership in nursing practice by mentoring and guiding colleagues, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research and advancements in critical care nursing, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.

• Participate in hospital committees and research projects as assigned, and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

• Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program, or two (2) years of recent, related critical care experience.
