Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team at Vancouver General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill clients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex clinical situations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical expertise and leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or two (2) years' recent, related critical care experience.
  • Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care.
  • Thorough knowledge of the indications, actions, reactions, routes, dosages, and side effects of anaesthetic and other drugs used in critical care environments.
