Job Overview

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality business programs and services that support the growth and success of small businesses in the Beaufort Delta Region. This includes providing financial and business advice, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with internal staff and external partners to drive business development initiatives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with communities, organizations, and agencies to optimize business development and promote regional economic growth. Your expertise in commercial credit and lending, business management, and human resource management will be invaluable in helping the department achieve its objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement business programs and services that meet the needs of small businesses in the Beaufort Delta Region.
  2. Provide high-quality financial and business advice to support business growth and development.
  3. Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to identify new opportunities and drive business development initiatives.
  4. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations on loan evaluations and collections procedures.
  5. Assist in developing major economic initiatives that promote regional economic growth.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Commerce or Business Administration, combined with two years of related experience in economics, accounting, finance, and marketing, commercial lending.
  • Or a Diploma in Business Management/Administration with four years of related experience in economics, accounting, finance, and marketing, commercial lending.
  • A Class 5 Driver's License is required.
What We Offer
