Job Title: Graphic Designer Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer Instructor to join our team at John Abbott College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Graphic Design Concepts to students in the Graphic & Web Design program.

Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer Instructor will be responsible for delivering lectures, leading discussions, and providing feedback to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach in a hybrid format.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Graphic Design Concepts to students in the Graphic & Web Design program
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans, lectures, and assignments
  • Provide feedback to students on their work
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop curriculum and improve student outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Fine Arts or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience directly related to the discipline of digital design/graphic arts
  • Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills essential
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French preferred
