Airworthiness Director Position Overview:
The Airworthiness Director is responsible for overseeing airworthiness-related activities within the organization. This role involves reviewing training requirements, ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations, and monitoring maintenance practices for fleet aircraft. The Airworthiness Director plays a crucial role in maintaining the airworthiness of the aircraft fleets and ensuring the safety of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret airworthiness standards and processes for the maintenance organization.
- Ensure compliance with the Maintenance Process Manual and essential procedures.
- Monitor and correct maintenance practices that may compromise aircraft airworthiness.
- Authorize personnel for maintenance-related activities affecting airworthiness.
- Ensure personnel receive necessary training for airworthiness activities.
- Authorize individuals to conduct technical airworthiness functions.
- Approve procedures affecting aircraft airworthiness and revoke authorizations when necessary.
High attention to detail is essential for interpreting airworthiness requirements and ensuring compliance with procedures. All processes affecting aircraft airworthiness must be reviewed and approved by the Airworthiness Director.
