About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Cybersecurity Architect to join our team at BMO Financial Group. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our security testing efforts and ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of security.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in computer science or information systems and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in security testing. They will also have knowledge of coding languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python, as well as experience with rapid development processes like Waterfall and Agile.

As a key member of our DevSecOps team, you will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities and enable BMO to meet its goals by understanding business vision, objectives, and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership to business areas as a Security Testing subject matter expert
  • Assist with efforts on the execution of security testing operations to include pre-engagement (scoping), engagement (testing), and post-engagement activities (reporting)
  • Deliver security testing projects according to a structured process, including writing test reports
  • Work with leadership to mature security testing team capabilities, including reporting and remediation guidance in alignment with local and global regulatory requirements
What You Need to Succeed
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field of study
  • Knowledge of coding languages (e.g., C#, JAVA, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python) and ability to code with little oversight
  • Familiarity with different rapid development processes, e.g., Waterfall, Agile
  • Knowledge of coding vulnerabilities, frameworks, patching processes, Information Security risk, and industry best practices
  • Certification is an asset, with certifications such as CISSP, CISSLP, GIAC, OSCP, OSWE, GWAPT, GMOB, GPEN, GXPN, GAWN, etc.

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $81,600.00 - $151,200.00 per year, depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. The salary may include a commission structure, and BMO offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
