Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Linear Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure design, with experience working on municipal projects in the Greater Toronto Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Group leader/manager, senior engineer, and project managers to deliver linear infrastructure projects
  • Design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including collection, distribution, and transmission systems
  • Execute design engineering consulting services related to linear environmental infrastructure
  • Support the lead designer in the detailed design of linear projects and coordinate with the wider team and other disciplines
  • Develop and manage project plans, anticipate and address project issues, and direct the timely completion of technical deliverables
  • Communicate and interact with the project team, clients, permitting agencies, and others as appropriate to achieve project success and build lasting partnerships

Requirements

  • Registered as a P.Eng or eligible for registration within 12 months
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 4+ years of related linear water and wastewater infrastructure experience in municipal design and construction working preferably in a consulting engineering environment on municipal client projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient and experienced using integrated 3D environment software, e.g. Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM
  • Familiar or proficient with water distribution, sanitary and storm sewer system modeling and software
  • Contract administration experience, including site reviews, reviewing shop drawings, contractor submittal review, change orders, and responding to requests for information
  • Knowledge and understanding of municipal linear water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure design standards and guidelines and construction best practices
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Functions well within a fast-paced environment and thrives within a team
  • Proficient verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products
