Civil Engineering Technician Job Description

Thurber Engineering Ltd. is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of engineering specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structures or systems and material requirements.
  • Develop Engineering Specifications: Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Field Surveys and Inspections: Participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations.
  • Project Scheduling: Prepare project schedules.
  • Supervise Field Work: Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
Work Environment:
