About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Southshore Greenhouses Inc. as a Greenhouse Horticulturist. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and quality of our crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Maintenance: Clean the crops, remove manually all suckers and water sprouts, and report signs of insect or disease damage.
  • Greenhouse Operations: Clean the greenhouse, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, and maintain a clean work area.
  • Task Management: Perform hand harvesting of vegetables, level earth to fine grade specifications, and clean work area.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is required, as public transportation is not available.
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Horticulturist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods. You will also be required to bend, crouch, and kneel.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 60 hours per week.
