Job Title: Patient Transfer Attendant

Voyago is currently recruiting for full-time and part-time Patient Transfer Attendants in London, Ontario.

The Patient Transfer Attendant in London is a unionized position.

Your Role:

  • You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence.
  • You can provide outstanding customer service.
  • You have excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • You have a valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
  • You have a Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C).
  • You possess a valid G class driving license.
  • You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
  • You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record.
  • You can obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
  • You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month.
  • You have successfully completed High School or can provide proof of equivalency or post-secondary diploma.
