Job Summary
The Nutrition Associate plays a vital role in the Food Service operation at Hamilton Health Sciences. This position requires a team player who can assist in all areas of food service, including patient meal selection, tray assembly, nourishment and enteral feeding preparation, and delivery to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect patient meal selections and assemble trays
- Prepare nourishment and enteral feeding
- Deliver meals and nourishment to patients
- Collect trays and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with diet changes and customer service
Requirements
- Ability to bend, lift, and push
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills with Nutrition Services, unit staff, and supervisors
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Good decision-making skills
- Food handlers certificate
