Your Role

As a Commercial Security Systems Technician at GardaWorld, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced commercial security systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective installation approach, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Implement security systems, video surveillance, and access control according to design schematics and plans.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, software updates, and hardware updates.
  • Participate in annual ULC inspections for fire monitoring and burglary systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues, minimizing downtime.
  • Test the functionality of installed systems to ensure they meet internal and external quality and safety standards.
  • Build strong relationships through excellent customer service, educating customers on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain records of installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering departments to ensure client satisfaction and quality of service.
  • Manage inventory and ensure all equipment and tools are accounted for and in working condition.
  • Be available for after-hours work on an occasional and rotational basis.

Working Conditions

This role involves primarily field work, with occasional office work, travel, and periodic weekend or evening work.
