We are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Analyst to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Population Health Observatory, you will play a critical role in supporting our vision, values, and purpose by providing expert information and data management services.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and analyze regional health assessment and surveillance data to inform decision-making and support program planning, quality improvement, and performance measurement.
- Develop and maintain data collection and storage systems, including databases and spreadsheets, to ensure accurate and timely data management.
- Collaborate with epidemiologists and biostatisticians to analyze surveillance data and prepare reports, and advise on data quality and limitations.
- Perform quantitative data analysis using descriptive and statistical methodologies, and consult with experts to validate content and methodology.
- Support the development of data visualization products to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
- Ensure the secure transfer of confidential data to authorized stakeholders and maintain data security policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Health Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
- Three to five years of recent related technical experience with health information and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in a variety of software applications, including GIS, R, SAS, Tableau, and D3.js.
