About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Senior Leader to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a lead member of our Private Enterprise Tax group, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional tax planning services to our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience specializing in tax in a public accounting firm. They will be responsible for working closely with partners on tax planning initiatives, directing junior staff, and preparing tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people management skills, a strong ability to understand client needs, and a commitment to quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements and work closely with partners on tax planning initiatives
  • Direct the work of junior staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare tax returns and conduct and present tax research
  • Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in tax in a public accounting firm
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional accounting designation
  • Completed or nearly completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand client business
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism
