Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Thomas L Swaine Limited. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units for faults, adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test mechanical units for faults
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust systems to specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance
  • Advise customers on work and future repairs
  • Complete reports on problems and work
  • Provide customer service
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Areas of specialization: Engine repair, 4-wheel drive, Electrical and electronic systems, Diagnostics, Alignment, steering, and suspension, Brake system, Fuel and emission systems, Ignition and electrical systems, Automatic and standard transmission, Engine repair and overhaul, Drive train and front end components
