Pharmacist Leadership Role

Salary InformationHourly rates start at $52/hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience. In addition to competitive wages, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan after one to two years of service.
Job DescriptionAs a licensed pharmacist with Calgary Co-op, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety and efficacy of medications. Your responsibilities will include:
- Filling prescriptions and following proper billing procedures
- Maintaining records and confidentiality
- Providing information and consulting with physicians or other practitioners as needed
- Administering injections and vaccinations
You will also be responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians, maintaining inventory levels, and participating in department operating objectives.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc.) and licensure with the Alberta College of Pharmacists
- Previous retail pharmacy experience (desirable)
- Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) designation within one year of starting as a pharmacist
