Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for various construction projects. This will involve utilizing quantity take-off procedures, setting up cost monitoring and reporting systems, and liaising with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that estimates are accurate and meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accuracy
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenses
- Liaise with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure estimates meet required standards
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in estimating or a related field
- Valid driver's licence
- Vehicle supplied by employer
- MS Excel skills
- Take-off packages experience
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced estimating department, collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality estimates and ensure project success.
