Senior Financial Controller

The position of Chief Accountant is now available at a company in the manufacturing sector based in Henryville. This permanent role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

1. Prepare comprehensive financial reports by reconciling accounts and analyzing data
2. Monitor bank accounts and loans to ensure accurate financial management
3. Produce regular analysis reports to inform business decisions
4. Update weekly financial dashboards to track key performance indicators
5. Closely monitor cash flows to maintain optimal liquidity levels
6. Supervise payroll preparation and employee file management
7. Prepare and submit government declarations and remittances on time
8. Familiarity with American sales taxes is an asset
9. Record end-of-month entries accurately and efficiently
10. Manage customer credit and monitor all customer accounts
11. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements through account reconciliations
12. Review TECs for ongoing projects
13. Participate in inventory management and analyze discrepancies
14. Contribute to year-end processes for three companies
15. Support the implementation of a new ERP accounting system in Winter 2025
16. Collaborate in the budget process

To be successful in this role, you will require:

1. Hold a CPA title
2. Possess an undergraduate university degree in Accounting
3. Minimum experience of 3-5 years in a similar position
4. Payroll management experience is an asset
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
6. Experience in the construction industry is an asset
7. Strong knowledge of the accounting cycle and payroll processing
8. Demonstrate respect for confidentiality rules
9. Familiarity with accounting software, such as SAGE, is an asset
10. Excellent organizational skills
11. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
12. Effective communication and teamwork abilities
