Parts Person Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Parts Person to join our team at Peterbilt dealership in Hagersville. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in locating required parts, providing pricing, and completing online parts orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload, receive, and store incoming parts and materials in the warehouse and yard
  • Locate parts and materials, and ship to customers and other branches
  • Provide assistance to branch service technicians as required
  • Place inventory stock orders
  • Make inventory and bin adjustments
  • Accurately document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information
  • Operate parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems
Requirements:
  • Effective customer service skills and ability to build lasting partnerships with customers
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate peak seasons, including shift work, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Strong communication skills with ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from coworkers, managers, customers, and the general public
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid foundation of parts/warehousing knowledge and skills
  • Previous experience in the parts industry
  • Journeyperson Certification considered an asset
  • Experience working in the Heavy Duty Truck, fabrication, and/or manufacturing industry considered an asset
