Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team at SAHI EXPRESS LTD. as a Truck Driver.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, be physically fit, and possess strong organizational abilities. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

You will work closely with our dispatch team to coordinate travel arrangements, ensure timely deliveries, and handle any unexpected issues that may arise during transit.

Responsibilities
  • Driving and Vehicle Maintenance: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, oversee vehicle condition, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Logistical Planning: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, transport and handle dangerous goods, and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Team Collaboration: Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, and work as part of a two-person team or convoy.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Skills: Physically demanding job, sitting for extended periods, repetitive tasks, large workload, and overtime required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
