About the Role

TORQUE FREIGHT SERVICES is seeking a skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to oversee the operational logistics of our organization.

This permanent position offers a competitive salary and a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile orders and instructions received from customers
  • Oversee operational logistics of the organization, including tracking and completing work orders, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and preparing and submitting reports
  • Maintain work records and logs, resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work, advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems, follow-up on issues with work orders, and maintain vehicle operator work records
  • Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment, establish work schedules and procedures, and plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
Requirements
  • Degree: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, organized, team player, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in dispatch management service software, database software, electronic mail, spreadsheet, MS Outlook, Internet, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows
