Job Summary

The York Region District School Board is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Specialist 3 to join our team. As a key member of our multimedia team, you will be responsible for the creative development of multimedia projects, including audio, video, and post-production services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality multimedia materials, including photography, graphic arts, videography, and video motion graphics, ensuring compliance with copyright and branding guidelines.
  • Provide multimedia production services, including post-production for media content, utilizing digital editing systems and meta-tagging.
  • Support the creative development, deployment, and maintenance of online/web-based productions using current web development tools.
  • Research, develop, and implement new media initiatives to enhance the Board's online presence.
  • Provide system-level training and support for media development as required.
  • Work with clients to develop, design, and produce media resources under the direction of project leads.
  • Monitor the day-to-day maintenance of equipment and supplies needed to perform the job.
  • Collaborate with the multimedia/learning resource services team to achieve project goals.
  • Attend meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation diploma with two years of post-secondary education in media production.
  • Minimum two years of related work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of audio and video capture and production.
  • Strong working knowledge of Mac digital editing systems, including Adobe Creative Suites, Final Cut Studio, DVD Studio Pro, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of media hardware, wiring, and integration.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license (G Class).
