Heavy Equipment Operator (Fly-In Fly-Out)
Job Summary:Agnico Eagle Mines is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Fly-In Fly-Out) to join our team in Nunavut. As a key member of our Energy & Infrastructure department, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery equipment, performing site maintenance, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate heavy machinery equipment, such as loader, excavator, dozer, grader, backhoe, container handler, compactor, and articulated truck.
- Follow good practices in terms of site maintenance.
- Perform field services such as snow removal, muck transfer, road maintenance, and site fuel delivery.
- Ensure that all equipment is operated in such a way as to avoid premature breakage.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections.
- Heavy equipment certificate/training or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4000 hours of experience on the equipment (loader, excavator, dozer, grader, backhoe, compactor, container handler, and articulated truck).
- Driver's license Class 5 or equivalent.
- Driver's license Class 3 is considered as an asset.
- Possess the physical requirements to perform the job.
- Possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written).
- Positions reserved for Inuit candidates.
