Job Summary

Western Tractor is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment using computerized and other testing equipment.
    • Adjust equipment and replace defective parts to ensure proper performance.
  • Maintenance and Inspection
    • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy-duty equipment.
    • Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Heavy Truck Repair
    • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including emission control systems.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate.
    • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks.
    • Work in a team environment with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair.
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
