About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Solutions Specialist to join our team at CMHC - SCHL. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and advice to clients, stakeholders, and government agencies to support the delivery of our housing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex financial analysis and make recommendations to support business decisions
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives
  • Review and approve loan, subsidy, and contribution applications to ensure financial viability
  • Manage risk by exercising prudence and due diligence in reviewing and approving applications
  • Communicate decisions and provide advice to clients and stakeholders on CMHC's housing programs
  • Provide input to shape functional policies, products, and processes
  • Prepare briefing notes, submissions, and responses to Ministerial and Presidential correspondence
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce
  • 5+ years of experience in construction financing, real estate, financial markets, or credit risk analysis for Multi-Unit properties
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial viability and loan approvals
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, evaluating, and prioritizing loans, subsidies, and/or contribution applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
